Data Analyst Intern
About the Role
We are looking for a Data Analyst Intern to support our Data team through production-scale database migrations and daily data operations. This internship is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in real-world data pipelines—focusing on data validation, cleaning, transformation, and cross-system migration.
What You’ll Do
Database Migration & ETL Support: Assist in end-to-end data migration processes across Pintarnya and our group business units—extracting data from legacy sources, transforming formats, and loading data into new target systems.
Data Quality Assurance & Reconciliation: Perform pre- and post-migration data checks using SQL queries and spreadsheets to eliminate duplicates, prevent data loss, and resolve dataset inconsistencies.
Daily Operations & Reporting: Handle ad-hoc data requests, pull datasets, and build simple operational reports for cross-functional teams.
Documentation & Data Mapping: Document data mapping logic, transformation rules, and migration SOPs for future reference.
Troubleshooting: Help identify, investigate, and resolve data anomalies that arise during the migration process.
What We’re Looking For
Academic Background: Final-year student or fresh graduate in Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
SQL Fundamentals: Solid grasp of core SQL operations (SELECT, JOIN, WHERE, GROUP BY).
Spreadsheet Proficiency: Experience with Excel and Google Sheets (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, basic formulas).
Attention to Detail: Meticulous mindset when working with large datasets, prioritizing data accuracy and consistency.
Structured Mindset: Ability to follow SOPs systematically and work well within established team workflows.
Nice-to-Haves
Familiarity with BI and data visualization tools like Looker Studio or Tableau.
Prior internship or academic project experience involving data management, ETL, or data analysis.
